White Democrats love cheering on the browning of America, rubbing it in the faces of the wrong kinds of White people. The reality is the Democratic Party will turn brown first and it is already happening thanks to the "white supremacist liberals" who run the DNC. The old Whites of the DNC have held on to power and cultivated a younger generation of identitarian ethnic leaders who cannot translate their racial identity into national appeal, at least not without turning off all but the most self-hating progressives.

“It’s almost a crime,” Democratic Party Vice Chair Donna Brazile says. “We have been absolutely decimated at the state and local level.”

Taken as a whole, these six years have been almost historically awful for Democrats. You have to go back to the Great Depression and the Watergate years to find so dramatic a reversal of fortunes for a party. And this time, there’s neither a Great Depression nor a criminal conspiracy in the White House to explain what has happened.

When Obama came into the White House, it seemed like the Democrats had turned a corner generationally; at just 47, he was one of the youngest men to be elected as president. But the party has struggled to build a new generation of leaders around him. Eight years later, when he leaves office in 2017 at 55, he’ll actually be one of the party’s only leaders not eligible for Social Security. Even as the party has recently captured more young voters at the ballot box in presidential elections, its leaders are increasingly of an entirely different generation; most of the party’s leaders will fade from the national scene in the years ahead. Its two leading presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are 67 and 73. The sitting vice president, Joe Biden, is 72. The Democratic House leader, Nancy Pelosi, is 75; House Whip Steny Hoyer is 76 and caucus Chair James Clyburn is 75, as is Harry Reid, the Senate Democratic leader, who will retire next year. It’s a party that will be turning to a new generation of leaders in the coming years—and yet, there are precious few looking around the nation’s state houses, U.S. House or Senate seats.

There is a Great Depression. We're in the middle of it, the bear rally phase. From 1932 to 1937 the U.S. economy did well and the mood of the country was positive. As for a criminal conspiracy, there's Hillary's emails, Fast & Furious, IRS targeting of conservatives and Benghazi, to name a few. The media has covered this all up. If a Republican were president, we would hear non-stop about the homeless, the drug addicted, the people who have lost hope, job losses and more. To some extent, the Democrats are oblivious to this because they live in a media bubble of their own creation. White communities are being destroyed and hollowed out spiritually across America, and the Democratic party's message is "Ha ha you loser Whites! We're taking your country too!"

And the dramatic fallout in support from white working-class voters can be explained, in some progressives’ eyes, by a failure to address the plight of what was once the party’s base.

“These voters,” pollster Stan Greenberg wrote recently in the Washington Monthly, “are open to an expansive Democratic economic agenda—to more benefits for child care and higher education, to tax hikes on the wealthy, to investment in infrastructure spending, and to economic policies that lead employers to boost salaries for middle- and working-class Americans, especially women. Yet they are only ready to listen when they think that Democrats understand their deeply held belief that politics has been corrupted and government has failed. Championing reform of government and the political process is the price of admission with these voters.”

And increasingly, they will be turned off by the Democrat's anti-White agenda. A lot of the anti-white thinking in the Progressive movement is obscured because white people are saying it. White people know how to talk to White people, they share culture, language, the Democrats know their White relatives and how to reach them on policy issues. Thanks to multiculturalism and identity politics, the minorities who will replace them will not be able to. (Obama was a special case because he is half-white and raised in White culture.) Stripped of the outer layer of rhetoric and propaganda, anti-White screeds will be clear to all.

There will be a lot of pious chatter about how special all the children are, but no one will take the chatter very seriously and everyone will in practice treat the children differently according to their actual, differing abilities.

Now, speaking of egalitarian pretense, consider the idea of “marriage equality,” which Justice Anthony Kennedy pretends to have stumbled upon somewhere in the U.S. Constitution on a Friday morning last June, with (so far) about 42% of the U.S. population going along with the gag. Depending on the political needs of the moment, the proponents of “marriage equality” have also often pretended that their arguments wouldn’t support polygamy, incestuous marriage, you name it.

But everyone knows this isn’t true. For, contrary to some further pretense from the “marriage equality” crowd, the point about the implications of “marriage equality” has nothing to do with making a fallacious slippery slope inference, but rather with making a perfectly valid reductio ad absurdum inference. A slippery slope fallacy fundamentally involves making a causal claim to the effect that A will lead to B, where there is at best a contingent connection between A and B and where no specific causal path from the one to the other has been established. A reductio ad absurdum argument, by contrast, involves making a logical claim about the entailment relations between propositions. In the present case, the idea is that if you not only remove heterosexuality and even fidelity from the essence of marriage, but in general treat the institution as essentially a matter of current social convention and legal stipulation rather than something grounded in nature, then in principle there is no limit to what might be counted as a “marriage.”

Universities should also officially and strongly discourage trigger warnings. They should endorse the American Association of University Professors’ report on these warnings, which notes, “The presumption that students need to be protected rather than challenged in a classroom is at once infantilizing and anti-intellectual.” Professors should be free to use trigger warnings if they choose to do so, but by explicitly discouraging the practice, universities would help fortify the faculty against student requests for such warnings.

In a 2014 survey by the American College Health Association, 54 percent of college students surveyed said that they had “felt overwhelming anxiety” in the past 12 months, up from 49 percent in the same survey just five years earlier. Students seem to be reporting more emotional crises; many seem fragile, and this has surely changed the way university faculty and administrators interact with them.

The universities — being craven concentrations of cowardice, when not actively evil — are scared to tell their students to stop being scared. Radical feedback runs away unchecked. Victimological terror is sovereign.

Progressives are hypocrites. A favorite past-time for the right involves pointing out how Progressives doing X is ignored or cheered, conservatives doing X are lambasted. For people who haven't heard of the Cathedral, it is always a teachable moment.

As the society created by the Cathedral comes undone, hypocrisy will disappear. Not because the Progressives will go away, but because the right will adopt the left's tactics.

In research with 942 nonclinical adult participants, gay men and lesbian women reported a significantly higher rate of childhood molestation than did heterosexual men and women. Forty-six percent of the homosexual men in contrast to 7% of the heterosexual men reported homosexual molestation. Twenty-two percent of lesbian women in contrast to 1% of heterosexual women reported homosexual molestation. This research is apparently the first survey that has reported substantial homosexual molestation of girls. Suggestions for future research were offered.

N.J. scoutmaster 'groomed' boy for sex, cops say

A scoutmaster with a Boy Scout troop in South Jersey was "grooming" a young boy for sexual purposes by buying him pricey gifts, officials said Thursday.

The Cape May man, Frank Thomson, was arrested and charged Tuesday with luring an 11-year-old boy after a concerned citizen tipped off authorities earlier this month to suspicious activity between the two, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor said in a release.

During several interviews with 68-year-old man, authorities say they discovered a separate incident several years ago where Thomson sexually assaulted a young boy. Additional charges were brought against Thomson on Wednesday.

Even if you make the most favorable interpretation, that many homosexuals are that way because of childhood molestation, it destroys the argument that homosexuality is all natural. If progressives want to push this favorable interpretation, the Christian movement to turn homosexuals back to straight is completely legitimate and should be supported by progressives.

Other interpretations are much darker, and much closer to the truth.

Diversity destroys social trust, even among people who are naturally high trust. In the comments is a good story about how low trust leads to more low trust. In order to avoid being called racist, we have anarcho-tyranny: the government and businesses treat people of all races equally. There is some truth to the argument that treating people like criminals is counterproductive, but like all things it is a continuum. When one group is heavily responsible for theft or terrorism, keeping a close eye on them may increase some friction with the group, but lower overall theft/terrorism. If instead everyone is profiled, the result is widespread loss of trust and a much smaller reduction in theft/terrorism due to resources spread thin. The resulting loss of trust undermines support for the effort as well, and may increase the risk of backlash. Take the TSA, all it does is create hatred for the government. It fails to do anything of substance to reduce terrorism, while greatly increasing anger and lowering trust.

“Manya, perhaps you should write about this,” my Beijing friend Lily texts me on Weixin: “I have been discussing this with some of my friends today, and it is somewhat of a sensitive topic.” She sends me an article that has been making its rounds on China’s bigger social media platforms, such as Sina Weibo and Weixin. It is titled “China Does Not Allow Single Women to Freeze Their Eggs” (中国禁单身女性用冷冻卵子), and has triggered much controversy.

More specifically: although single women in China technically can have their eggs frozen (if they have the money for it), they will not be able to have them inseminated unless they provide three certificates: their identification card, their marriage certificate, and their ‘zhunshengzheng‘ (准生证 ) – the ‘Permission to give Birth’, which will not be issued without the marriage certificate. In short: single women will not be able to have a baby through artificial insemination, because they will never get the required legal papers to go through with the procedure.
