Hispanics: Fastest Growing Coverts to Islam

Muslims In America: More Latinos Converting To Islam As US Population Grows, Report Claims
By most official measures, Latinos in the U.S. are considered to be the fastest-growing demographic. They are also the fastest-growing group of Muslims in America, according to organizations that cater to Hispanics converting to Islam. Although the statistics haven’t been widely tracked, there are an estimated 150,000 Islam converts among the Latino community in the U.S., reported the Press-Enterprise, a California newspaper.

Pope Loses to Bishops on Gay Sex, Wins Small Victory on Divorce

A lot of people believe papal infallibility means the Pope is always right. In reality, it is a very narrow power used in doctrinal disputes or relating to things such as the canonization of saints. On many issues, including anything outside of the realm of theology such as science and economics, the Pope is quite fallible.

After the latest synod, the butthurt Pope called the bishops meanies because they opposed him on homosexuality: Pope, ending synod, excoriates bishops with 'closed hearts'. He did win a change on divorce though:
The document spoke of a so-called "internal forum" in which a priest or a bishop may work with a Catholic who has divorced and remarried to decide jointly, privately and on a case-by-case basis if he or she can be fully re-integrated.

"In order for this happen, the necessary conditions of humility, discretion, love for the Church and her teachings must be guaranteed in a sincere search for God's will," the document said.
Of course this "internal forum" will turn into a rubber stamp because Progressivism is not Christianity. The progs have breached the gates of the Vatican.

Progressive Death

Secular Europe is dead, that is the only conclusion to draw from the insanity unfolding in Europe. This is how progressivism dies, to thunderous applause!

The Violent New (Or, Perhaps, Old) Meaning to Muslims of "Hegira"
Most recently, however, under the Islamic State, hijra has acquired a connotation that alienates it from its prior meanings. The Islamic State can only understand hijra as physical migration for the purpose of jihad. For the Islamic State’s crude and contrived medievalism, the past is of only instrumental value, to be refashioned in the service of violent conquest and savage repression. Far from being an ethical mode of remembering – a source of cultural continuity and consolation – hijra has been turned into a call to arms by this new self-proclaimed caliphate, which the vast majority of Muslims today do not recognize as part of their religion.

Oh Allah make their children orphans
Oh Allah make their wives life hard
Oh Allah make their children orphans
Oh Allah grant victory to Islam and Muslims everywhere
Oh Allah help our weakened brothers in Palestine
Allah Akbar
Their is no god but Allah
The Zionists are the enemy of Allah
There is no god but Allah
The martyrs are beloved by Allah

Shroud of Turin Cannot Be Replicated by 21st Century Science

The Shroud of Turin: Evidence for Everything?

Invade the Vatican

The Kasper Revolution spreads
Bishop Büchel continues to stress that to respect the dignity of the human person “also means not to reduce a person and his relationships to the mere sexual question.” He also referred, once more, to Jesus' teaching according to which love and affection are predominant. The bishop also stressed that at Biblical times, people did not know that homosexuality is a biological inclination and “not a freely chosen sexual orientation.”
There's no evidence of it being a biological orientation. That doesn't mean it isn't, just they haven't identified the gay gene or the virus or bacteria that causes gayness. There is evidence that a substantial number of homosexuals are homosexual because they were sexually molested as children.

10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.

13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Satan At the Schoolhouse Gate

Homosexuals want into the Catholic schools in order to create a new sex scandal to destroy the Church: more sexual molestation of children.

Philly Catholic School Facing Severe Legal Punishment After Firing Lesbian Teacher

I like the quotes around married in the headline.
Uproar in Philly as Catholic ‘married’ lesbian director of religious education fired
"It's not for any other reason but the fact that she is a homosexual," said parent Anthony Archievala. "We were shocked because she'd been there for so many years."

"It's time to get the attention of the archdiocese and the Catholic hierarchy and let them know this is illegal," parent Katie Culver said.
The Catholic Church needs to begin a purge of all homosexuals. You cannot dance with the Devil and try to play the game of political correctness. If you know an employee is a practicing homosexual or if a celibate homosexual openly defends sodomy, they must be fired, defrocked and physically removed. If you do not do that, you risk running afoul of the law. Stop taking any government money.

Pope Benedict XVI, The View From Japan

Benedict XVI As No One Has Seen Him Before. From Japan
Although Benedict XVI did not expressly intend to do so, in fact he brought the dominion of modern values into question. In the context of his criticism of Marxism he supported Western parliamentary democracy, but his siding in favor of democracy was by no means unconditional. He decisively refused to introduce it into the Church, which is ordered in a hierarchical way. He also looked with skepticism at public opinion polling. His distance from the popular will is not explained only by his experience with the student movement in the 1960’s, but was already rooted in his distancing himself from National Socialism, which in its time was accompanied by thunderous applause from the majority of the population. He also did not share the optimistic evaluation of modern-day man and the progress of society.

His attitude followed in the footsteps of Christian social conservatism. The appreciation of the family and of heterosexual marriage was in contradiction with the present-day multiplication of family models. The emphasis placed on the role of Christianity as the pre-political basis of liberal democracy was aimed against secularism. Benedict XVI disapproved of the criticism of Eurocentrism and reiterated the Christian character of Europe. Not only in political questions, but also and above all in cultural ones he took positions and acted as an active champion of old European culture against the tides of globalization.

Pope Benedict XVI was a nonconformist on the throne of Peter. When from the seat of gold he imparted the blessing in Latin, excommunicated dissidents, held the universal Church together and affirmed the unicity of the Catholic faith, he was in fact showing his authoritarian side. It comes as no surprise that his detractors, like Leonardo Boff or Johann Baptist Metz, should have criticized him. Nonetheless, the question can also be seen in a different way if it is placed within the situation in which the Church finds itself. If one looks at the dominant position of modern values, the Catholic Church is an oppressed minority while its critics belong to the majority. Thus Ratzinger’s authoritarian attitude was a reaction to the prevailing situation.

Nerd Theology in The Basilisk

I read this today, The Devil's own.
That's actually not a concern of mine, although we should be precise here and distinguish between his authority and his power. I am profoundly concerned that your god exists and wields the power you describe. It is literally my greatest existential fear; a terror that has genuinely kept me up at night, because in the event that it is true I am knowingly signing myself up for an eternity of torment that goes beyond anything I am capable of imagining.

The Most Terrifying Thought Experiment of All Time
One day, LessWrong user Roko postulated a thought experiment: What if, in the future, a somewhat malevolent AI were to come about and punish those who did not do its bidding? What if there were a way (and I will explain how) for this AI to punish people today who are not helping it come into existence later? In that case, weren’t the readers of LessWrong right then being given the choice of either helping that evil AI come into existence or being condemned to suffer?

You may be a bit confused, but the founder of LessWrong, Eliezer Yudkowsky, was not. He reacted with horror:

...Yudkowsky said that Roko had already given nightmares to several LessWrong users and had brought them to the point of breakdown. Yudkowsky ended up deleting the thread completely, thus assuring that Roko’s Basilisk would become the stuff of legend. It was a thought experiment so dangerous that merely thinking about it was hazardous not only to your mental health, but to your very fate.
If there is a God, His design is seen in Nature and all intelligence, then the creation of a higher order of intelligence will unleash the Biblical Judgement Day here on Earth. God doesn't need to create a simulation of your soul to damn it eternally to Hell.

Liberation Theology Is Marxism

And Marxism is anti-Christian. Liberation theologists are worse than Arians and it will probably take several centuries to wipe them out.
Catholic church warms to liberation theology as founder heads to Vatican
“At the heart of liberation theology is the gospel – the good news of Christianity – which is not purely interior, but needs to address one of the most pressing problems of our time, and that is massive global poverty,” says Lee.
The one bright side of progressivism is they replace themselves with maleducated Kool-aid drinkers.

Diversity Sucks

Separation of Church and Cubicle: Religion in the Workplace
What is behind this dissonance — fewer religious Americans, more Americans complaining? In part, it comes from the fact that recent waves of immigrants have brought with them many more kinds of religions, and these immigrants are settling in places beyond big, diverse cities. “We’re in a period of time right now when there are more religions in the workplace than there ever were,” says Gregg. “People used to live in clumps, but now are living all over the place. A lot of new groups are moving into areas they weren’t in before. There were no Muslims in Cheboygan. There are areas where there were no Muslims at all, and now they are building a mosque. We have one the largest Buddhist groups in a rural area in the country.”

In addition, Gregg adds, “we are in a period of time when people are insisting on being people of faith, and a growing number of people don’t want to have faith inflicted upon them. They want to be people of faith, but not your faith.” At the same time, he says, some people who are religious are now more likely to adhere to more orthodox strains.

Friedman puts it this way: “People are less identified with organized religion, and there is a more strident fundamentalist movement.” Why the extremes? “It seems we are living in a more uncertain world, and for many people that is frightening. We are more conscious through the Internet of the horrible things in the world, so seeking asylum and comfort in a proscribed path for living kind of makes sense.”

The solution: everybody should become an SWPL.
Making religion and the workplace comfortable bedfellows comes down to making a distinction between religion and spirituality for Wharton’s Friedman. Religion divides people. Spirituality, on the other hand, embraces many of the same virtuous qualities any employer wants to see take hold: “The notion of having a spiritual consciousness, being rooted in values such as loving kindness and the connection of all humans as one family, treating others as you wish to be treated, karma, taking care of the planet we share — these are all very useful values for any organizational setting,” he points out.

Rothbard says it’s not about bringing your authentic self to work. “I call it bringing your best self to work,” she says. “Bring your best self to work and talk about aspects of religious identity in a way that might be different, but is hopefully respectful of others’ identities.”
Only when the Boomers are dead will this nonsense go away.

Pamela Gellar Deals With the Dhimmis

The critics of Pamela Gellar have a point. She did taunt Islam and she provoked exactly the response I suspect she wanted. She's is intentionally insulting the religion, which I generally oppose simply on the grounds of civility. If we lived in a sane world, I'd oppose intentionally offending Muslims because it's rude and boorish. We don't live in a sane world.

The winning cartoon wasn't anti-Islam, it was a political cartoon. Drawing the prophet is against Islam, but that rule does not apply to non-Muslims. I assume some of the drawings were offensive for the sake of being offensive, but I really don't see anything offensive about the winning drawing below. In contrast, it would not be difficult to find offensive things aimed directly at Christians on TV in the next few hours. I honestly don't know what drawing an image of Mohammed registers on the offensive scale for Islam, but from my view, most of prime time television is more offensive to Islam and Christianity and Judaism (and more) than this drawing. These media outlets criticizing Gellar are fountains of blasphemy pumped straight into believers' faces. That people can't see this clearly shows how far Western civilization has fallen.

Furthermore, most people criticizing her did not bring on the piss Christ artist or elephant dung Virgin Mary artist and harangue them non-stop. They are not showing the cartoons from the contest on air or in their newspapers or on their websites, as good dhimmis should.

The AmericanThinker rightly juxtaposed this image with the piss Christ that was funded by the NEA. Would the government fund a piss Prophet?

Good on ya Pam.

Rend From Caesar

C.S. Lewis: Why is God landing in this enemy-occupied world in disguise and starting a sort of secret society to undermine the devil? Why is He not landing in force, invading it? Is it that He is not strong enough? Well, Christians think He is going to land in force; we do not know when. But we can guess why He is delaying. He wants to give us the chance of joining His side freely.

Over at Vox Popoli, Vox discusses the latest battle in The Gates of Hell shall not prevail, along with long passage from a Rod Dreher article. He was contacted by a law professor acquainted with the highest levels of the American justice system, and he says:
What prompted his reaching out to me? “I’m very worried,” he said, of events of the last week. “The constituency for religious liberty just isn’t there anymore.”

Like me, what unnerved Prof. Kingsfield is not so much the details of the Indiana law, but the way the overculture treated the law. “When a perfectly decent, pro-gay marriage religious liberty scholar like Doug Laycock, who is one of the best in the country — when what he says is distorted, you know how crazy it is.”

“Alasdair Macintyre is right,” he said. “It’s like a nuclear bomb went off, but in slow motion.” What he meant by this is that our culture has lost the ability to reason together, because too many of us want and believe radically incompatible things.
Vox writes:
It's time for the church leaders and the heads of Christian families to start learning from #GamerGate, to start learning from Sad Puppies, and start leading. Start banding together and stop accommodating the secular world in any way. Don't hire those who hate you. Don't buy from those who wish to destroy you. Don't work with those who denigrate your faith, your traditions, your morals, and your God. Don't tolerate or respect what passes for their morals and values.

Religious liberty in America is dead. Well and good. That was a fatal mistake by the other side, because now that they don't respect our religious liberty, we have no reason or responsibility to respect theirs. Now it's just a raw power struggle and we have the numbers, we have the indomitable will of the martyrs, and we have the certain knowledge of God on our side.

They have nothing but the carnal desires to which they are enslaved and the Prince of this fallen world, who has already been defeated by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Their world is post-Christian, post-rational, post-modern, post-morality, and post-law. It is absolutely doomed to failure of every kind, beginning with demographics.

So stop cowering. Stop hiding in the closet. Stop trying to play by outdated rules that are no longer in effect. They imposed the new rules on us, now let's prove that we can play much better by them. What they don't realize is that those rules were in place for THEIR protection, not for ours. It's time to teach them the value and importance of religious liberty again.

We are not given a spirit of fear. We are the sons and daughters of the Crusades and of the Inquisitions, institutions so terrible that they strike terror in human hearts nearly one thousand years later. We are the heirs of Christendom. They cannot defeat us and they cannot defeat our Lord. Augustus and the pagan emperors of Rome failed. The Ottoman emperors failed. The French Revolutionaries failed. The Communist killers of Spain, the Soviet Union, and China failed. The post-Christian seculars of the latter-day USA will fail too.
Read the whole thing.

His post brings to mind neoreactionary thought on Exit. Recently at 28 Sherman there was talk of a Carving an Exit - A Thede Union. It's a topic that has been discussed by Arnold Kling in Exit, Voice, and Ignorance and at Outside In. While Nrxers struggle to come up with ways of building an exit, one is already there.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”

I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Nrxers and libertarians use the term exit because they are thinking of our current relationship with the State. However, the only people who will see it as Exit will be those left behind. One doesn't choose to exit, but to begin again, to perfect what has come before. Christians in the first century did not exit from the Roman Empire, they entered into the Church. The Christians who left Europe entered the New World. The Founding Fathers chose to build a more perfect union.

We cannot build upon a foundation of lies. Much of the foundation of society has already collapsed: families are destroyed, schools indoctrinate children in lies, murder is a growing choice. The only choice is to rebuild from the bottom up.

Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and by so rendering, rend yourself from Caesar. All the power we need is in our hands and in our hearts, for God is with us. All it takes is that we stand together in Christ.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Young Malaysians Turn to Fundamentalist Islam

Moderate Islam is a rapidly disappearing force, yet it forms the centerpiece of the both mainstream left and right thinking on how to deal with Islam. Support moderate Islamists and through the magic juju, they will transform all the other Muslims. Instead, fundamentalist Islam is gaining ground in the moderate states such as Malaysia and Indonesia. Growing popularity of conservative Islam in Malaysia linked to overseas students
The growing appetite for religion-based rule in Malaysia was brought into sharp focus a fortnight ago, when the Islamist opposition Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) put forward a bill to implement the Islamic hudud penal code throughout the state of Kelantan.

The proposal received support from the BN coalition as well as the People's Justice Party (PKR) of jailed opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim.

Under hudud law, the penalty for adulterers and apostates is death while thieves will have their hands amputated.

The only party in the opposition coalition who opposed the hudud proposal was the secular, ethnic-Chinese-dominated Democratic Action Party.

The PAS, founded in 1951, is the country's oldest and largest opposition party. It draws inspiration from Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood.

Indonesian teachers concerned by Wahhabist high school textbooks
Iwan Hermawan, vice principal of the State Senior High School 9, said his school received 440 books on Islamic teachings, which contain a chapter titled “Rise Up All Islamic Fighters” and details the teachings of Muhammad Abd Wahhab, the founder of the Wahhabi Muslim movement.

Wahhabism is known for its ultraconservative, literal interpretation of Islam.

One part of the book reads: “Those who worship other than Allah are infidels and must be killed.”
At least the books are more challenging than Common Core textbooks, so there's that.
